Well, that was a fast and busy summer!
We hope everyone made lots of memories that will get them through the end of the year. Hopefully, you enjoyed family and friends, ate lots of ice cream, read a good book, and enjoyed lazy Sunday mornings and afternoon cocktails.
We had some of our Summer girls working at the stores that have been with us for so many years now. It’s so great to have them back each season and see them grow and work toward their dreams, as well as, keep us young and bring some lightness to the stores.
I had a great summer in Sag Harbor and took the best trip to Italy in July with my family. We visited Venice, Rome, and Florence. All such great cities and unique in their own way.
Venice was so beautiful and different from any place I had ever visited. Everyone knows that the city is built around water and made up of tiny islands but to be there and experience it was magical.

Rome is such a vibrant modern city surrounded by such history, you just walk around in awe at everything. So much of what was built there and the way which it was constructed hundreds and thousands of years ago we still use today in our modern day world and it’s just so crazy to think that. We did a cooking trip to a farmhouse on Sunday where the woman and her sister made their own olive oil and wine which was a theme I saw in a lot of the restaurants throughout Italy as well.

Florence was so special as well. It did remind me the most of NY. In an hour we were at the beach and the mountains of Tuscany. The area where we stayed is compared to SOHO; it was filled with small shops, cafes, and great local restaurants. I feel like it is a city you can visit many times and never get tired of.

Denise kicked off her summer with her first visit to Seattle with Harry, where they explored iconic landmarks and enjoyed some fantastic restaurants. They loved Pikes Place Market, Bellevue, and Capitol Hill in Seattle. She thinks the Pacific Northwest is beautiful!

After Seattle, Denise traveled to Ohio to help pack up Aaron’s family home. They embarked on a road trip back, bringing along a truck filled with their favorite mid-century furnishings.

In August Denise and Daniella headed to Miami. While there, she helped her parents as her mother recovered from surgery and enjoyed some relaxing time in her family home. She was able to spend some priceless time with her nephew David and sister Desiree as well. Aaron joined her for a lovely weekend in Miami, and in true Miami style, her parents couldn’t let them leave without hosting a gathering for family and friends.
